It is probably in the territory that the reasons that led Cavalier Francesco Iannamico to undertake this activity at Villa Santa Maria, a small and orderly village in Abruzzo, nestled under the spectacular "rock slab" above country. Going up the Sangro to the springs we enter the Majella National Park going up along the Val di Sangro, not far from the coldest inland areas, now famous ski resorts.

The hot punch offered heat and energy, an important resource and excellent remedy against the cold for those who lived and worked in these places in winter where the temperature is almost always below zero.

It was precisely the local demand that stimulated the company towards the production of these strong-tasting liqueurs, even before European success. Even today in these areas the Punch and the Amaro are the most requested drinks for those who have to face a day of work but also for those who are on vacation on the snow of the beautiful ski slopes that we have a few kilometers from our country.

But Villa Santa Maria is located in a natural setting of extraordinary beauty, just as close to the Abruzzo coasts of the "trabocchi", and even here, how can you give up a good ice cream drowned in the Iannamico Punch?

Always in this extraordinary territory we find the Bomba Lake surrounded by thick oaks, the Rio Verde Waterfall more than 100 meters high, the Abetina di Rosello and many other villages perched on rocky spikes like that of the Castle of Roccascalegna or hidden downstream between the woods along the river frame the country. Then there are the Caves of Cavallone and many other tourist emergencies.

Not to forget the Cooking School of Villa S. Maria, known throughout the world since the nineteenth century.
