1888 - 2018 - 130 years of Abruzzese Punch
This long history begins in 1888 when one of our ancestors, Francesco, called "Monzù", elaborated a particular and unique infusion able to stand out from any other liqueur.
A man of modern thought and great ideas, Francesco Iannamico was among the first to perceive the new opportunities offered by the technological innovation that characterized the birth of the modern era. The development of navigation allowed him to import special spices and infusions from the Americas and Antilles that still today make this liqueur unique.
The Punch was presented in the most prestigious and important European competitions, making an endless series of awards.
During the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900, having recognized the superiority of this now famous liqueur, Mr. Francesco Iannamico was no longer accepted as a competitor but had the honor of being named a member of the important jury.
The Iannamico Punch of Villa Santa Maria, soon crossed the ocean to reach the Americas, giving joy and luster to his country and its citizens scattered around the world.
He entered everyone's homes to be savored in important moments and to give warmth to moments to remember.
From the illustrious "Monzù", from generation to generation up to Francesco and his wife Maria, with their children Ruggero, Antonio and Alessio, they keep this story and these flavors alive, knowingly keeping the secret recipes.
The Iannamico Punch turns 130 years old.
We celebrate this important milestone with the limited production of "1888" Punch bottles embellished by our historic brand.
